Ironing boards are another essential part of our sewing equipment as well as for our home.

Although ironing boards do come in various sizes, the ideal ironing board for a sewer and crafter is one that provides convenience and a large working space. 

A professional-style board is extra wide and stands on four heavy-duty, chromed-steel legs for added stability. To be able to easily roll the ironing board easily back and forth is an important feature.  Rolls just as easily on carpets as it does on floors.

There are several other types of ironing boards that will suit the individual need.  A tabletop ironing board is available for for those smaller areas where there may not be sufficient room for a full size ironing board in the room.

Consider a wall mounted vertical ironing board.  Again this ironing board is great for small rooms or sewing areas.  This ironing board can be easily installed anywhere, even a small closet.

Another convenient ironing board is the the over-the-door ironing board.  It can be placed over any door and easily folded up and tucked away behind the door.

The convenience of the ironing board in our sewing space is most important.   The ironing board needs to be in the sewing area if at all possible.  Being able to select the appropriate size ironing board for the designated area will make your sewing simply so easy.
